Interestingly enough - these projects were actual class assignments that were sent home without a digital component. As my son had articulation difficulties at the time, I felt that making these digital allowed him to shine and really show what he knew. I am a firm believer in using manipulatives and paper and pencil tasks - but I think there is also a time and place to realize that adding a digital component can elevate and deepen student learning as well.
As to My Story - because we had all of our own drawings and we wanted to add video narration, we felt that Book Creator was the best option (especially as it can export a book directly to the photo roll as a movie - makes sharing and publishing a breeze).
